Wings for the Baron

Wings for the Baron is a fast-playing, easy-to-learn game about aeroplane development during World War I. Players take the role of German manufacturers such as Fokker and Albatros, competing to develop the best designs and deliver the most machines.

Each turn, you choose to build factories, research new technologies, spy on your enemies, try out new aeroplane designs, or convert your hard-earned cash into inflation-proof gold. Timing plays it's part, too, as the end of the war -- and the game! -- gets closer unpredictably.

A 40-card deck chock full of historical photos randomizes your technical development, and also features all of the historical issues faced by the actual participants: new technologies, political influence, crashing prototypes, fires, talented engineers and more! Perhaps even The Red Baron himself will help you out...

Wings for the Baron comes with:

  • Component guide
  • 16-page Rulebook (6 pages rules, 10 pages historical notes)
  • 4 Player Mats in full color
  • 101 Game Markers in full color (unmounted)
  • 56 illustrated cards

  • Cover sheet
  • Zip-lock plastic bag for storage
